Juniors Lead Strong Neon/Tie-Die Day Showing
Neon Tie Dye day was the 4th day of spirit week. It was on November 24th and the clothes represented a fun school spirit of bright personalities. There were some people and some groups that were able to get their outfits in the paper and we have chosen a winner to interview. Here are some pictures:
Teya Marquis and Lexi Zammer
These two are showing off a wonderful combination of neon and tie dye. What a nice hoodie to keep you warm on a cold New England morning.
Paige Hayward and Mr. Porciello
HEADBANDS RULE! They really stand out because they are more rare than t-shirts. And teachers were very into the tie dye day. That orange looks awesome. And good luck with the sack.
Bray Pritzker
The shirt looks like a neon explosion. Which is wonderful. And how do you make a tie dye shirt better? You pair it with matching socks.
Nick Gardner
Anyone willing to stand up in the middle of class and take a picture takes their neon seriously. This thick neon green hoodie will surely be noticed in the halls.
Val Folan and Anna Church and Dan Silverman
This picture screams school spirit. There are neon t-shirts, tie dye t-shirts, neon socks, and once again, HEADBANDS! And if that’s not enough, a PVMHS t-shirt. The tie dye is blue and white, the school colors, and I like the way the teacher in the back is looking.
Sarah Ciman and Chris Gagliolo
Most people wore their neon in pairs. The lime green certainly will stand out against the white walls of the school. Especially D house. The pink looks great too. That is a color combonation you don’t think of that much. How great is it that there is a pink backpack to match the pink shirt!
The Winner
Sophia, Mrs. Henrick, and Kaitlin
Neon colors are better in groups. Here are some answers to some questions asked to them:
Q: Do you feel that neon colors represent your personality?
A: Yes because neon colors are very bright and I like to think I have a bright personality.
Q: Are neon colors your favorite kind?
A: No, I prefer more pastels kind of colors. Neon colors are probably my number 3 or 4
Q: Do you usually wear neon colors?
A: No, they are so out there, but the school gave us a chance to wear them
Q: Then why did you wear them today
A: Because its spirit week
Q: Are you saying you wore them because the school told you to?
A: Yes. (lots of laughing)
Q: Do you think people are gullible or easy to persuade?
A: Yes. (more laughing)
Q: Why don’t you wear them if you like them? Even though they are out there, they aren’t necessarily bad.
A: Because people will notice you more, and no one wears them regularly.
Q: But the school can give you a chance to wear them like you can’t normally?
A: I don’t know (with lots of laughing).
I chose this group as the winner because they all have fun and bright personalities, which are what neon colors represent. The group is wearing some nice tie dye and neon shirts with matching socks. They also were coincidently all wearing black pants. GO HAPPY PERSONALITIES!
