What do Seniors Regret?

I asked the seniors down below “What would you have done differently at Peabody High?” in terms of academic regrets as well as regrets relating to school sports.

“So for me, my entire school career I was under the assumption that I did not need to study, that I could retain everything that was taught. Through elementary, middle and the beginning of high school I practiced it. Big mistake. So pretty much, my biggest regret of high school was not studying. I had, for my standards, mediocre grades freshman year and the few months into sophomore year. [For school-sport regrets,] one of the big ones was not taking risk. I tend to take the safe route when it came with my throwing. Opting to do what i knew worked and didn’t do what didn’t work, obvious. But there are instants in throwing where you just have to take a risk, give it your “all” sort of say. I just wish I took more risk, then maybe I could become a much better thrower.”

-Patrick Pang

“I would have joined clubs earlier in my high school career because I wanted to become more social and also be more involved early on.”

-Katelyn Tomashpol

“I didn’t try as hard freshman and sophomore year. If I did my class rank would of been higher. And because of this, I missed out on some college opportunities.”

-Joe Farhat

“I would have taken things less seriously.”

-Katherine Scacchi

“I would have definitely tried harder my freshman year in school. Also I would have tried out for volleyball my freshman year and not procrastinate and get more out there. And not limit myself and step outside the box and try new things.”

-Nene Onwuogo

“I would have lived in the moment more. Enjoy everything and appreciate the small things but also not stress about small things either.”

-Sarah Ciman
