All the nooks and crannies to the September 15th football game

It is still very early in the season for our amazing football team! Even though they lost against Danvers there is a lot of time to improve before the next game which is on Saturday 9/23 (NOT FRIDAY)! Go and support our football team!!! Let's have faith and confidence in them! This is only a minor setback, they will have a major comeback!

In an interview with one of the football captains, Eric DeMayo, he gave me a thorough breakdown and his personal reflection of their first home game:

"This loss is tough for myself and the rest of the team. To shut a team out and hold them under 100 total yards of offense for the first 40+ minutes of the game is great, but one defensive mistake and that puts us in a hole with 2 minutes left. To only let up 7 points is a huge win for our defense, but with out offense not being productive enough we have nothing to show for it. Our offense also showed huge improvement from last week. We moved the ball very well against a tough Danvers defense. That was definitely because of Dariel Canela, the only senior in our o-line. He really stepped up as a leader this week and not only did his job, but made sure the younger guys on the line did their job too. When it comes down to it, we need to be able to capitalize offensively on long drives and put points on the board, or else it's impossible to win. Myself and the other captains plan to address discipline with this team because we lost over 60 yards on penalties. Overall we saw improvement but we're not happy with a 7-0 loss."

A very heartfelt response from a captain who lives and breathes football! He puts his heart and soul into the team!

LET'S GET THAT VICTORY!
