The Freshman Election of 2017-2018
Hello class of ‘21! It’s Dado. Welcome to my first Freshman article for The Tanner Times. As you all know, Freshman elections are coming up for class officers, and with only 4 positions and 8 candidates, tension is high.
For President, there is Grace Conway, Matthew McDonald and Sydney Branga. For Treasurer, there is Chloe Lima and Stephanie Guglielmo, and finally for Secretary, there is Lucas Castro, Maddie Hanson, and myself, Dado Nasso.
All of the positions are important, but the one most talked about is President. Class President is a job that requires someone with a lot of understanding of the terms responsibility and confidence. The President must also have the ability to help our class prosper the best way they can.
The first candidate for President is Sydney Branga. Sydney Branga is a field hockey star. During every game and practice, she shows a lot of determination on the field, and she gets things done, thanks to her and the other talented girls on the team. She shows her determination, kindness, and sportsmanship daily with her positive vibe.
The second candidate for President is Grace Conway. She is also a star, but in soccer and on the stage. She has played soccer for years, and has acted in plays throughout middle school, and is now a member of Stage One the Drama Club here at PVMHS, and a performer in the Talent Show. She has a lot potential along with her kindness being an asset to her candidacy.
The third candidate for President is Matthew McDonald. According to Matthew’s friends, he is likely to become a Congressman one day, due to his love of politics. He is knowledgeable with the topics of Congress. He is known for his appreciation for political issues.
As mentioned before, the rest of the positions are just as important. For memory purposes I want to remind you that Chloe Lima and Stephanie Guglielmo are running for Treasurer, and Lucas Castro, Maddie Hanson, and myself, Dado Nasso, are running for Secretary.
Please don’t hesitate to vote as soon as voting starts, because all of the candidates are counting on your votes.
Don’t let them down.
