A Night in Oklahoma!
Another successful musical to add to Stage One’s long list of performances! This past weekend, Stage One performed their spring musical, Oklahoma, and it fell nothing short of our expectations! Once again we saw much of the talent that Peabody High has to offer. From the spectacular choreography done by Melissa Poirier (‘18) to the fabulous set and design done by the production crew, the audience was captivated by the group’s last performance of the year, as our newly renovated auditorium was transformed to a quaint midwestern city to tell the story of the lovely Laurie and ever charming Curly in Oklahoma.
Notable performers included Micaiah Jones (‘18) whose angelic voice complimented Aidan Leach’s (‘19) deep and rich vocals beautifully. Tanner Times’ own, Jennifer Puzzo (‘18), was another showstopper, as her exuberant stage presence, alongside Shane Braz (‘18), Meeghan Bresnahan (‘19), and Neil Sherman (‘19) had the audience laughing throughout both acts! The drama department’s underclassmen also put on an exceptional performance. Fiona Lynskey (‘21) did not shy away from the spotlight, landing yet another lead role in Stage One’s production. Maggie Anderle (‘21) was another freshman who shined on stage, as audience members could not take their eyes off her and her beautiful dancing. Overall, Oklahoma was another Standing-O-worthy performance by Stage One and we’re infinitely proud of the work that they have done! These performers represent the arts department beautifully and it was a pleasure to watch.
