Music Monday No. 2: "Mad World"
Welcome to the second edition of Music Monday! This weeks song of the week is Mad World by Hardwell. Here at the times we had a bit of a disagreement… I, Sarah, personally think the song is not half bad. But Audrey, on the other hand, thinks it is not a very good song.
Why does Audrey dislike it?
I honestly just dislike the beat of the song. I feel that with a title of “mad world” it should be more of an upbeat and louder song. I also never really listen to any of his songs and maybe his type of songs isn't something I particularly like.
Why does Sarah like it?
I like the beginning of the song and how it is a guitar intro. I like the melody in the verses and how it goes down. “I'm just a lost soul whose made of paper,” I like this line. The chorus is really catchy also. When I listen to it, it gives me 2013 vibes, especially with the sort of dubstep chorus it has and how it builds up to music. I feel like I would hear this as a club remix somewhere. Honestly, I might just have to add this song to my personal playlist! I’m listening to the radio edit version, by the way.
