Clubs at PVMHS
Here at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, you can join clubs, which are usually held after school, so you can do one nerdy thing with other nerdy people that share your interests! Wow! There are other people as nerdy as you? No way!
Anyway, clubs are really fun. They are a way to make new friends in grades other than yours. Also, if you do a club, it is possible that you could get some community service hours out of it. So, if you are a senior and haven't done much of your community service that is required, you can join the community service club because there will be several opportunities to do community service and get your hours. The best part is that you can do it with your friends and peers.
Did you know that there is a possibility that being part of a club could raise your GPA? Not only that, but it looks great on your college applications that you did clubs and were involved with things at school. There are some negatives of clubs, though. It does take time after school when you might need to make up a test or get extra help on something for a class. Also, it could interfere with sports, but if you have time or can make them work around your schedule, then you totally should join a club. There are so many options here at PVMHS that you most likely will find a club that you will be interested in.
