Welcome to the first edition of Music Monday this school year. I hope you all had a wonderful summer. This week’s winning song was “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire. I hope you didn't forget that we take suggestions, so if you want a song to be nominated make sure to shoot us a DM on Instagram @thetannertimes.
“September” by Earth, Wind & Fire is a pretty great song. I like the funkiness to the beat and I also like the drums in the background. I like that it's very catchy. It's one of those songs that you will have stuck in your head all day if you listen to it. I like the upbeat music in the background to their singing. This song overall is pretty great and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't heard it before.
This song was released on November 18, 1978 by the band Earth, Wind & Fire. This song was very popular at the time (and is still fairly popular now) and it reached Number 1 on the US R&B chart. This song also reached Number 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and Number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. People liked it so much that they also came out with a remake of the song called “December” in 2014 for their Christmas album.
Thank you for reading all about “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire. If you have never listened to this song, or want to listen to it again, it can be played on YouTube or Spotify. I hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of Music Monday.
