Top 10 Christmas Desserts

Christmas is just around the corner with it only five days away. So to set the mood of the holidays we are going to list 10 of the best Christmas desserts.

10.Toffee

Toffee comes from the word “tafia,” a rum that was used in many candies back then. This dessert has three main ingredients: chocolate, pecans, and toffee. Overall a mediocre sweet, but a very simple one.

9.Mini-Cake on a Stick A very quick treat to eat as it is proved to be one of the best snacks during this season. These mini-cakes can be decorated as little Santas, Christmas trees, reindeer, and many other festive figures. This is why I think these yummy treats deserve the spot at number nine.

8.Fruit Cake A very split dessert. You either love it or you hate it, but there is no in-between. This is a very historical dessert as it dates back to 1490 when Pope Innocent VIII allowed butter to be used. It is a large dessert very commonly found at almost every Christmas party. Also, a very great take on desserts being sugary but also healthy. 7.Pecan Pie The pecan pie is famously known in Alabama where the believed origin of the very first pecan pie was made. It is a very simple-looking, but complex dish. I should have ranked it higher just by the looks, but the taste is fair and nothing too crazy is used. Also, the pecan pie has so many different versions of itself, but in this review it is the original pie.

6.Peppermint Bark Peppermint bark is very underrated for this unique dessert, but with very simple ingredients such as dark chocolate, white chocolate, and peppermint fragments. It has a very interesting taste with a chocolate base, and to top it off the peppermint adds more emphasis to the overall treat as it would be normally sprinkled on top.

5.Christmas Cookie It was a very classic Christmas treat as it's a plain cookie with sprinkles. This is a very famous treat. The the overall product is very plain, but it is just the pure spirit it brings to a party. It could even make someone smile since it's used in the game “Secret Santa” commonly. It is a very festive holiday sweet. For those who simply want a cookie, this is the cookie for you.

4.Fudge Fudge isn't famously known for being a Christmas candy, but somehow is. I rated this one decently high due to just the taste of it. Fudge is a small square of chocolate goodness, perfect for this specific time of the year, and would be great with a cup of hot cocoa. The look of it is a basic cube of flavor. Many people will say the only thing they eat during Christmas is fudge, which even I believe. The fudge also has many different variations of them including nuts and other wild toppings.

3.Chocolate Trifle I know, I know, some think the normal trifle is better than the Chocolate trifle, but they are wrong. This very complex looking dessert is one of the best desserts with the components of Cool Whip, chocolate pudding, and brownies. This is stored in a large see-through glass temperware that shows all of the trifle's layers. But this Trifle has a version which is the normal Trifle made of strawberries instead of chocolate. Since it's Christmas, I'd rather bite chocolate then strawberries.

2.Apple Pie This warm, sweet delight has been around for awhile. Since the 1800s this favored sweet has all the best ingredients: apples, pie crust, and cinnamon. This combination makes a treat for the whole family, no matter how big or small. The crust is unbearable once you start to bite into it. Then, you get into an apple heaven. This can even soothe your mind completely to an empty state as it's served by your relative to a group of those who feel close to each other. But this pie really means something to my friends and me since it was in my life for a good amount of time.

1.Gingerbread Now is the time you’ve all been waiting for: number one! The one that deserves this position the most is the legendary gingerbread. As I rate this since it's delicious and it can look very different, but the best-looking one is the classic gingerbread man. The gingerbread man is used in pop culture all the time during December. But this is the top on our list due to the simple activities you can do with gingerbread, like making gingerbread houses, cookies, and so much more with this unbelievable ingredient. People can agree with me that this is the best Christmas treat.
